Staring Evil in the Facebook

It’s taken me quite a while to give in to Facebook, and call me paranoid but now that I finally have, I’m using a separate computer with a masked IP. I don’t want to take any chances. So far it’s interesting, and it’s good to see I’m not the only one who’s a little concerned about it being monitored. This is from a discussion in a group about the Illuminati:

I would just like to say that in late January on CNN,Glennbeck had a show where he was discussing the patriot act and the new plans to expand it...the new Super Snook law...to monitor all computer use and have thier computers in Washington programmed to pick up key words, phrases and groups. Thus they will kick in when they pick up these notable subjects. In particular they said Facebook and Myspace were of big concern due to the fact(lies) that al-queda is using them to build terrorist cells. What they really mean is people are starting to wake up and learn of thier evil scams and plans for us... I saw a post on here by a young lady that made a good point about the 'i'll bet i can find 1,000,000 people who don't like George Bush" of which I am a member. Of course they are monitoring those type groups. ...Anytime the word illuminati, freemasons, weavers, new world order, tri-laterist,council on foriegn relations..ect.ect. are mentioned..they are monitoring. I look at them as my enemy...Shit is about to hit the fan,big time.Brace yourselves for the ride. Not much else you can do.But whatever you do..don't take the implant. No matter what. No food,No job,No home...it's not going to matter for long.Just be prepared. They have it all planned out.... feel free to message me. peace

This might sound a bit out there, but when you think about it, facebook has a larger population than Great Britain, of course it’s going to be of interest to the powers that be. And of course they’re going to be watching what is said, especially as it’s so easy to do so. We’ve never been so easily controlled as when we’re all in one place and everything we say and do is recorded.

Now I'm Getting Really Paranoid

It's been said before. I am paranoid. That's what gives me my edge. In this day and age, paranoia is a talent. You need it. But this has really freaked me out. Last Thursday, I ordered a book on the Cathar-Weavers, Loom Of Destiny by Jean Sebastian Kaici from Amazon. I'm continuing my work on The Weavers. This is a leading title, the reviews say. I want to read it. Week later, all my other books have arrived bar that one. I get an email from Amazon saying sorry it's out of stock. Fair enough, I'll buy from another source, a second-hand place. I go to the page on Amazon. It's gone. I do a google search. It's not appearing. I know I'm not going mad because I took a screenshot of the page on Amazon when I ordered it so I could use the cover image on my blog. I email Amazon. They don't reply. I look at my order history. Sure enough Loom Of Destiny is in the original order. But everywhere else, on Amazon, on teh internet, everywhere, that book has ceased to exist!!! Tell me I'm doing something wrong. Or I've missed something. But in the space of a week that book has vanished.

Police Camera UFO Action!

[via Phantoms And Monsters] "This video was shot in October 2007 and just recently released by Mexican officials. During a traffic stop in the State of Vera Cruz, Mexico, a patrolman sitting in the car turned the police video camera to the left to capture the image of a UFO hovering near the highway."

Morphing UFOs from South India

Amazing cameraphone video. One of the posters on the Youtube page nails it:

"If that is a visual effect then it must be from ILM. Its time to gather people for big protest marches and get some serious attention. How dare the people we elect to authority continue to keep us in the dark about what's really being found with our money."

Big Foot On Mars!

This has stirred a lot of controversy and press. No surprise as it combines two great mysteries: "Is there life on Mars?" and "Does BigFoot exist?". To that I'd add a third question: "If yes, how the f*** did he get to Mars?". Simulacrum mysteries are almost as old as the Internet, but this one is a lot of fun, mainly down to the hi-resolution of the pictures. Have a look for yourself and judge...

Area 51 Get A New Name

Pilots avert your eyes! The airport identifier and location of Nevada’s Groom Lake—you know, where they keep the space aliens at Area 51—has been appearing in flight-planning software and on handheld GPS receivers for most of the past year as KXTA (standing for what, extraterrestrial?).

Another paradigm-shattering piece from the Thunderbolts crew

The more I look into this Electric Universe theory the more it makes sense. Their explanation for comets solves a lot of the inconsistencies in Comet Theory:

Comets are electrical discharges in the thin plasma that permeates the solar system. Because they spend most of their time far from the Sun, their rocky nuclei are in equilibrium with the voltage at that distance. But as they accelerate in toward the Sun, their voltage is increasingly out of equilibrium with the voltage and increasing density of the solar plasma. A plasma sheath forms around them—the coma and tail. And filamentary currents—jets—between the sheath and the nucleus erode, particle by powdery particle, the circular depressions with terraced walls that are typical of electrical discharge machining. As the discharge channels move across the surface of the comet, they burn it black.

Shrivelling UFOs

Great editorial from the UFO Iconoclasts about the importance of belief in UFOlogy. Link.

Without some kind of dynamic evidence, the UFO phenomenon is doomed to die, if only because media, government agencies, and the public cannot sustain interest in such an evanescent presence.

Yes, UFOs have appeared and continue to appear in the skies but without some kind of specific tangibility, all persons, except UFO fanatics, will, psychologically, place the phenomenon on a mental backburner, maybe even dismissing the subject matter altogether, which is already beginning to happen.

Caret Drone: Hoaxed

Why do people do this? The impressive Caret Drone UFO footage ends up being part of a video for a crap tune. I always thought there was something fishy about it. The images seemed too clean to my eye. Link.

Richard Dolan At The X-Conference 2007

Dolan, author of UFOs and the National Security State, is a bit of a hero of mine. He has tirelessly excavated government documents on UFOs and points out over and over again the extreme interests given to UFOs by the US military, despite public statements to the contrary. Hear what he has to say for yourself.

Dip in UFO sightings caused by the Internet?

How inaccurate can one article on UFOs be? Take 10 seconds to enter 'UFO sightings' into a search engine and get over 1 million returns. UFO reports have never been so common. This year alone there have been hundreds, some from very credible sources. The proof on the Internet completely contradicts the key 'point' of the article:

My friend Kevin Fitzpatrick, who spends a great deal of time thinking about these things, says there is a simple answer. He suggests an exact parallel between the rise in the use of the internet and the fall in UFO sightings. Logical: the amount of time spent staring at the sky must be in inverse proportion to the amount of time available to stare at a computer screen.

Corroboration of abductee's 'Star Map'

Barney and Betty Hill were out driving one night in 1961 when they were abducted by aliens. During the abduction, Betty was shown a 'starmap' which indicated the home world of extraterrestrials as well as various 'trade routes'. Now, after painstaking work by researchers, some details of that map have been confirmed... Link.

Norwegian UFO mystery solved?

This is a typical story about a UFO mystery "being solved". Exactly how has it been solved? “According to the scientists, it is now clear that the phenomen is not UFO-related, but are luminous balls containing some form of energy.”However, he says much work remains before he is ready to give the final answer. I.e. it’s not solved. Link.

60th anniversary of Roswell - was it real?

Interesting post on the Daily Grail looking at the evidence.

I was permitted from a safe distance to first observe the object just recovered north of town. It was approx. 12 to 15 feet in length, not quite as wide, about 6 feet high, and more of an egg shape. Lighting was poor, but its surface did appear metallic. No windows, portholes, wings, tail section, or landing gear were visible.

I personally feel something momentous did happen in Roswell, but that competing accounts, profiteers and government misinformation has garbled the account of what really happened, perhaps forever. Link.

Anniversary of the UFO

This big BBC article celebrating 60 years of the UFO phenomenon falls down when it trots out the usual, "official" explanations for UFOs. Here they are with my retorts:

Sundogs: Refracted image of the sun - WHICH DON’T MOVE
Space debris: Burning satellites or rocket fragments - WHICH MOVE IN A STRAIGHT LINE
Meteors: Such as bolides or fireballs - AGAIN, A STRAIGHT LINE
Clouds: Lenticular or disc-like - OKAY BUT *SLOW* MOVING
Mirages: Hot or cold-air induced images - HMMMMMMM
Stars/planets: Such as Venus - WHICH DON’T MOVE!!!
Planes: Such as experimental aircraft - POSSIBLY, BUT AERODYNAMICS
Ball lightning: Unpredictable brilliant spheres - USUALLY FOUND NEAR THE GROUND
Weather balloons: Classic explanation - OKAY, A LOT OF UFOs ARE PROBABLY BALLOONS
Hallucination: Viewer under stress - I SEE BETTER WHEN I’m TRIPPING!
Mass hysteria: Early explanation - COME ON!
Earthlights: Caused by electromagnetic fields in seismic activity areas - WTF DOES THAT MEAN?

This cool article in Wired too is a bit more open minded, although there's the usual skeptical perspective from writer Darius Lockwood
